Why choose a Design/Build Firm?
A major factor affecting a project's cost is the element of design.
To illustrate the cost impact of the design factor, let's examine
two different layout options for a 14-1/2' x 14-1/2' room.
Option #1 is virtually a
replacement job of the original kitchen. A 40" range has been
replaced with a cook top and separate wall ovens. As a result,
approximately 3 linear feet of storage and counter space has been
added. The dining area was unchanged.

option 1
Option #2 Represents a
Creative Redesign of the space based upon the client's willingness to
dine informally at a snack bar for their everyday meals.

option 2
(Note there is still eye
contact with this seating arrangement.) The net result is an extra
11' of cabinet storage. 7' of "working" counter space, a
separate buffet area convenient to the dining room, and an
attractive corner china hutch.
Now let's analyze the
cost difference of the two layouts using our popular grade cabinet
line (raised panel styling in maple, wood interior, knife-hinge door
construction, typical accessorization), square-edge laminate
counters with 4" splash, tax and installation of cabinets.
